Heacham Club Charity

Protecting and stewarding charitable assets for the benefit of the Heacham community.Clear governance.Public transparency.Responsible trusteeship.

Heacham Club Charity was founded in 1921 to safeguard an extraordinary gift to the village — the Public Hall and eleven acres of land generously purchased and donated by Charles Strachan for the social, recreational, and community life of Heacham. For more than a century, these facilities have been loved, used, and valued by people of all ages across the village and surrounding area.
Today, the Charity continues this legacy. The trustees are committed to protecting and managing these assets responsibly, ensuring they remain available, welcoming, and beneficial for the community for the next hundred years. Alongside this stewardship, we are modernising governance, improving transparency, and strengthening public access to information so that the Charity’s work remains open, accountable, and aligned with its founding purpose.
Our aim is simple: to honour the generosity of the past while enabling the widest possible community benefit in the future.
